The Academy of Domestic Arts was established in New York City in 2004 to celebrate the timeless ethos of "all things hearth and hostess." What began as intimate, one-on-one sessions in home curation has organically grown into a premier destination for mastering decorating, hostessing, cooking, the art of entertaining, and so much more. As our community grew, we intentionally expanded our curriculum into specialized workshops and classes designed to help clients embrace the joy of nesting. Today, the Academy guides individuals worldwide on their journey to discovering, creating, and living their own beautifully curated lifestyle.

The Academy was founded by Aspen Grace, a globally recognized lifestyle guru, manners and etiquette consultant, and tastemaker centered on gracious living - a passion that all began in her backyard. Her love for hostessing, entertaining, preparing memorable menus and gatherings for friends and family was something she grew up with, and when she purchased her first home, having a backyard ideal for entertaining was a top priority. Word spread fast and soon neighbors and friends were asking for her help with cooking, planning, backyard decor, as well as for her expertise in the ever-changing world of home and lifestyle, and that was the impetus for starting her own company and using her talents as a decorator/home stylist, caterer, personal chef, event planner and more.  Her desire to reach as many peple as possible and teach them how to create their ideal nest and there forever home was the catalyst for launching The Academy of Domestic Arts.

While Aspen now shares her expertise with larger audiences through the Academy, she continues to accept a select number of private commissions. For these exclusive clients, her approach is entirely bespoke and hands-on—taking the reins completely so they can simply relax and enjoy the results. Whether she is designing a custom menu and providing personal chef services for an intimate dinner party, styling a home for a new season, or conceptualizing a family garden, she handles every single detail from concept to flawless execution 

 When she isn't teaching or consulting, Aspen channels her lifelong love for the outdoors into The Atelier Studio. Completely separate from the Academy, this design studio is where she brings her creative vision to life, transforming backyards and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) into custom, bespoke retreats for her clients.
