"The backyard has always held a special place in my heart. From childhood through today, my love for the outdoors, and most specifically backyards, has only grown. Earthing in the grass, catching fireflies at dusk, sleeping in the shade of a tree, reading in the hammock, or setting a beautiful table for dinner with friends — these are the timeless joys of a yard that stay with you to enjoy year after year.

"This deep connection to nature is what inspired me to create The Atelier. Completely separate from the Academy, this design studio is my personal passion project. There's nothing I love more than transforming ordinary spaces — yards, porches, terraces, patios, sleeping porches, entryways, and other outdoor spaces, as well as a variety of ADUs like sheds, barns, boathouses, studios, greenhouses, and more — into unforgettable, bespoke oases for our clients.
